Product Description
Shamrocks and clovers are both symbols of Ireland, both of them symbolizing luck. Traditionally the shamrock only has three leaves. The three leaves according to legend explain the Holy Trinity, one leaf represents the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. Recently the four-leaf clover symbolizes God's Grace which represents the Holy Trinity. Did you know that the chances of finding a four-leaf clover are 1 in 10,000? Popular lore says that if you find one, giving it to someone else can double your luck. So the next time you find one remember to give it to someone else and see what happens.
The shamrock is also linked to the Celtic goddess Ana who is known to be the goddess of prosperity, and death and associated with the goddess of nature. Praying to Ana could result in a bountiful harvest and good fortune. The Celtic culture believes that all things important happen in threes between birth, adulthood, and death to nature, knowledge, truth, mind, body, and soul. The number three could be indicative of the land, sea, sky, and eternal life. It is said that before Saint Patrick picked the Shamrock for a demonstration, Druids carried the shamrock to ward off the evil spirits, believing that the three-leaf shape would allow them to see evil spirits, which gave them time to run away to safety.
